Historical city tour – from rock stars to the slave trade, Stone town has a colorful history. A walking tour of the city is the perfect way to experience the stone town.
Prison Island – Across from an ancient city live an ancient civilization. A civilization of Tortoise! A short boat trip from Stone Town harbor there is an island that was once a prison for… now it’s home to tortoise over 100 years old! It’s also a great spot for snorkeling and general basking.
Forodhani Gardens Night Market – On the banks of stone town, every evening, row after row of food stalls are erected to feed the masses. By the warm light of gas lamps, you can try all the local foods from fresh seafood, sugar cane juice and Zanzibar pizza (trust us, this is not a typical pizza!)
Beaches – There numerous beaches to be found on the island of Zanzibar; each more beautiful than the next. There is peaceful Paje, great for relaxing or testing your skills at some water sports. Then there is Nungwi, for the party goers, always lively in the evenings!
