Rhotia Valley

The lodge is located on a hill near Karatu, just on the boundary of Ngorongoro Crater. One of the most unique lodges in the area, Rhotia Valley offers not only great accommodation but a way to support the community as well. If you want to make a difference this is the lodge for you. Your stay at the lodge directly contributes to a children’s home as well as two local schools.

The lodge is small and full of charm. The tented rooms on raised platforms have their own verandas which feature lovely views. All the rooms have an ensuite bathroom and are decorated in lovely African textures and materials. The lodge owns livestock, maintains herb and vegetable gardens, and has a bakery as well as a cheese dairy.The food at the lodge is made from fresh ingredients cultivated at the lodge.
